Over 127 thousand Ukrainian homeowners received "warm credits" for energy efficiency improvement


Since the beginning of so called "warm credits" loan program, total amount of loans provided to Ukrainian homeowners have reached UAH 2 billion (around $80 million). Last week was record high in terms of program activities - 6352 new loans were provided for total amount of UAH 104 million ($4 million). 
Purchase of energy saving equipment and materials, as well as installation of high efficiency heating and hot water boilers, which use other than natural gas fuels, are among most popular energy efficiency measures implemented under the program. Using targeted loans homeowners are able to cut energy consumption in their houses and apartments up to 45%. 
"Warm credits" program was initiated and subsidized by the Ukrainian government with involvement of leading commercial banks.  Read more at http://saee.gov.ua and http://www.ukrainereviews.info/
